We are looking for an experienced Production Roaster with a lot of know-how and skills in the area of specialty coffee. You roast specialty coffee and you help with developing new roast profiles as well as with other tasks at the roastery. As a part of our small roastery team, you participate in our weekly cuppings and you bear joint responsibility for quality control. Your inputs and experience is also valued for our green coffee planning as well as in other areas.
Besides work at the roastery, you work regular barista shifts at the café, where you get the chance to use and sell the coffees you roasted and receive direct feedback from our customers.
Experience as a specialty coffee roaster is a requirement. Reliability and a personality that fits in with the team are just as important. You are fluent in either English or German/Swiss German, not necessarily both, although that would be an advantage. Working days and times can be mostly regular with some irregular shifts here and there – you need to be flexible enough to help out when other employees are sick or on vacation. We do publish work schedules well ahead of time. The starting date of the job is up for discussion.
