Fellow's brew grinder (Ode v1.1) is a reasonably priced, compact electric grinder made for filter coffee that boasts a great set of burrs and also looks great. The 64 mm stainless steel burrs allow for a great grinding result. The grind distribution is really good, changing the grind setting is very easy and it's not very noisy. The grinder is designed is a minimalistic fashion and with love for details, which does not come as a surprise to those who own other Fellow products. The grinder comes with instructions that include recommended grind settings for different brewing methods.

The burr set of the second generation for the Fellow Ode is a great upgrade for your Fellow Ode 1.1. You can make your first generation Ode grind equal to the Fellow Ode Gen 2 – at least when it comes to the burrs.

Fellow writes about the burrs: «The next generation of grinding is here. Clocking in at 64 mm with a unique two-stage grinding geometry, these burrs produce a sweet, balanced, complex cup with enough clarity to respect the coffee.»

The burr set allows you to grind finer and create better-distributed grounds when grinding compared to the standard burrs of the first generation Ode. It is not suitable for espresso, however.
