The ESPRESSO paper filters made by Sibarist are designed to make «filtered» coffee on espresso machines, improving the extraction consistency and puck yield with greater cup clarity, ultimately achieving better cups.

These filters are available in three variations and different sizes, too. We stock one size only, but all three variants. Let us know if you're looking for one of the other two sizes – we can order those filters for you. One package contains 100 filters

SOFT

The SOFT grade is an espresso filter that uses the FAST Specialty Coffee Filter. It provides soft filtration on the espresso shots for a cleaner cup with a light impact on the espresso machine settings and puck conditions.

HIGH CELLULOSE

The HIGH CELL is an espresso filter made of cellulose that provides a high level of filtration on the espresso shots, with a huge impact on the extraction conditions and puck yield.

HIGH MEMBRANE

HIGH MEM is an espresso filter membrane made with a synthetic composition with a very regular structure, pore size and distribution that provides a high level of filtration on the espresso shots, with a huge impact on the extraction conditions, puck yield and with zero impact on the coffee flavor. This filter greatly decreases astringency by trapping some of the suspended astringent compounds.

We also offer Sibarist filters for drip coffee in various versions.

Note: The filter diameters do not correspond to your portafilter diameter. Due to the different designs of espresso machine and basket manufacturers, the Sibarist Espresso filter diameters correspond to the inner bottom basket diameter. Measure your inner basket diameter to determine whether the filter size fits your basket. Sibarist have created a template that helps you to find the right size.

These filters are made in Spain near Barcelona by a coffee startup. They are made of 100% organic materials (abaca and pine fibers) and can thus be disposed along with your used coffee grounds in the organic waste or compost bin. The sealed packaging (with zipper, like our coffee bags) guarantees optimal conservation of the filters and prevents contamination from suspended particles and therefore flavors from being absorbed.
